Programs

The ICONS Foundation has instituted several different programs to ensure that children and their families understand the effects of good nutrition and their ability to learn. Corporate and individual contribution ensures our success in providing on-going training and assistance to parents and their children.

OUR PROGRAMS INCLUDE
  • Food Management Companies
  • Self-Operated Schools
  • Food Manufacturers
Junior Chefs

This is a program for elementary and high school students interested in pursuing culinary-related careers. Participating students compete for the Junior Chef Title. Winners hold the title for one year, chair the ICONS Foundation Junior Advisory Board, and receive a scholarship to a culinary school of their choice.

Taking basic ingredients and creative output and discipline results in an individual creation that leaves your child with a deep sense of accomplishment.

Cooking teaches persistence, resilience, and attention to detail. As your child’s creations come together, piece by piece, they learn the importance of being goal orientated and the rewards that come through persistent effort.

Community Outreach
Virtual Retreats for Parents
ICONS has conducted over 600 workshops and seminars with topics ranging from the following:
National ICONS
Virtual Symposium

Our featured presenters have come together to give you an experience you won’t forget — the first-time ever National ICONS Virtual Symposium Experience! It’s going to be held LIVE over two days. Virtual Symposium will include LIVE keynotes and workshops.

This event is for foodservice executives, educators, administrators, parents, nutritionists, and dietitians with opportunities to participate in panel discussions on current relevant topics. This event offers an excellent opportunity to network with industry professionals while encouraging exhibitors to showcase their products and services.

ICONS Internship Program

The ICONS Internship Program was created to build a talented pool of students who want to pursue a career in culinary arts.

The ICONS Internship program allows students to learn a non-traditional approach to culinary arts and the foodservice industry. Students shadow professionals who commit their time and resources to give students “real world” experience in all food and food related industries.

This program provides students with new skills essential to career development and a new understanding of community efforts. Students can build their resumes and connections while getting a better experience of the industry and learning new skills.
